About “Danh Vo@Re-space”
Danh Vo@Re-space is an artistic project that evolves over time, with all the structures in the space centered around flowers and plants. The artist Danh Vo conceives a form of “bouquets” that far exceeds the traditional understanding of “flower arrangements,” thereby transforming the space itself into the structure for arranging art. Walking through Danh Vo@Re-space, you will encounter bouquets of Banyan Trees, bouquets of Rangoon Creeper, bouquets of Lava Stones and Plants, bouquets of Orchids and Trees – here, bouquets and space blend together, you actually enter inside a bouquet. You can also bring back a bouquet from the flower shop in Danh Vo@Re-space, preserving a small microcosm of scenery for yourself.
If we believe that flowers and plants contain the secrets of life, then their existence invites us to become a part of the exploration of life. As flowers are passed on, received, mixed, scattered, blooming and withering, radiant and quiet, they have come to embody for us different facets of the human condition, as well as connections to unknown life relationships. They have become a medium for humans to explore the reasons for their existence. In Danh Vo@Re-space, the artist’s creation and all elements of the space interpenetrate and unfold layer by layer. The medium that brings everything together – the flowers – becomes a source for people to share various life connections. Through this, one can trace the complex forces shaping human nature. “The time of flowers,” due to their fragile power, is closer to the essence of life. Regardless of how we gaze upon them, they bring solace and may help people release and expand from their conditions of existence.
